The first step to becoming a YouTube partner is making a good name. It doesn't necessarily need to be easy to remember (Though it does help), but what you really should choose is a unique name.
For example, I'll list 6 names and you'll decide which ones are GOOD and which ones are BAD.
1. jacktheenemy
2. JeremyTuts
3. JeremysTuts
4. SwagxxTuts
5. KyleTheMassivePerson
6. InnovationsNET
Okay, these are pretty easy to identify.
1. jacktheenemy - BAD : No capitals, double e (e at end of one word and start of other. Email users number one enemy)
2. JeremyTuts - GOOD : Low capitals. Low words. Easy to remember.
3. JeremysTuts - BAD : Low capitals. Low words. Possessive 'S' (This is bad because YouTube names cannot have apostrophes in them, therefore it is better to leave them out).
4. SwagxxTuts - BAD : No comment needed.
5. KyleTheMassivePerson - BAD : High capital count. High word count. Random as f^%k. Probably doesn't relate to the videos on the channel unless you're advertising for Viagra.
6. InnovationsNET - GOOD : Unique. Easy to remember. Semi-low capitals. Low words. COULD be used to advertise your website as well (Innovations.net)
Hopefully you are smart enough to get the first part down. Next post will be about your design.
